FAQs | Questions About Cosmetic Classification Code Clarified by Beijing Municipal MPA

On June 9, 2022, the Cosmetics Evaluation and Inspection Center of Beijing Municipal Medical Products Administration (MPA) released several FAQs pertaining to the cosmetics classification code in the Notification Application Form to help companies distinguish some confusing concepts and thereby avoid notification failures.   🆀: How to fill in the classification code in the Notification Application Form? China\’s E-Commerce Giant JD.com Launches Quality Certification Label for Cosmetics On April 29, 2022, China\’s leading e-commerce platform JD.com issued two new platform rules: the Quality Standards for Quality Certification of Lotion and Cream Cosmetics and the Quality Standards for Quality Certification of Essence Cosmetics. China Cosmetic: NMPA Interprets the Requirements for Submitting Annual Report and Supplementary Documents of Notified Cosmetics

On April 8, 2022, China NMPA gave further interpretation on the submission of the annual report and supplementary information of notified cosmetics, so as to help cosmetic stakeholders better comply with the new regulatory requirements. China Consults on Technical Guidelines for Children Cosmetics: Stricter Ingredient Use and Labeling Requirements

China’s first regulation on children\’s cosmetics, Supervision and Administration Provisions on Children Cosmetics (hereafter referred to as “Provisions”), came into effect on Jan. 1, 2022. On March 31, 2022, China National Institutes for Food and Drug Control (NIFDC) released a draft of the Safety and Technical Standard for Cosmetics 2022 (hereinafter referred to as \”draft STSC 2022\”) for public comments. The consultation will end on April 30, 2022. Stakeholders with any suggestions can fill out the feedback form and send it back by email to hzpbwh@nifdc.org.cn before that.
