Declared items

This draft directive provides that the section of declared items should record at least four requirements indicated in the China RoHS statute:

1) list of hazardous substances contained in your product;

2) the Environmental Friendly Use Period of your product (UFEP);

3) name of the packaging materials; and 4) the result of your China RoHS compliance evaluation that shall testify your restrictive substances not beyond any set content limits of relevant national or industrial standards (basically GB/T 26572-2011).

Technical evidence

The self-declaration will be certified depending on the specific technical justification. Manufactures can decide on your scientific supporting evidence, based on your own control & assessment methods for product components or parts, from these options:

1) test reports issued by competent labs;

2) risk assessment report compliant with the relevant GB/T or SJ/Z standard on restrictive substance assessment for electrical and electronic products;

3) existing pollution control system authentication, such as QC08000;

4) pollution control process files;

5) the national voluntary China RoHS Certificate.

Industry can choose to submit the national voluntary China RoHS Certificate or submit combined documentary evidence, such as a risk assessment report or test report plus pollution control system authentication.
