REACH24H Attends Society of Cosmetic Chemists 70th Annual Conference
For more than 70 years since the beginning from 1945, Society of Cosmetic Chemists(SCC) has dedicated to the advancement of cosmetic science, the Society strives to increase and disseminate scientific information through meetings and publications. By promoting research in cosmetic science and industry, and by setting high ethical, professional and educational standards, we reach our goal of improving the qualifications of cosmetic scientists. Our mission is to further the interests and recognition of cosmetic scientists while maintaining the confidence of the public in the cosmetic and toiletries industry. The 70th annual conference attracts over 200 attendees from Universities and research facilities in US, BASF, Dow Corning, Avon, Johnson& Johnson, Lonza, Croda, Evonik, Coty, Silab and so on.
While there are technology showcase exhibits during the event, there sessions on Sun protection, color cosmetics and hair were hold in the first day, there concurrent sessions on specific topics in the next day afternoon. Mr. Martin Hu was invited to give a speech together with Prof. Robert Lochhead from University of Southern Mississippi, Dr. Mathias Rietzel-Rohrdanz from Johnson& Johnson and Dr. Michael Ellwood from Lonza in the second day’s session, mainly interpreted the background, requirements and related challenges of China cosmetic regulations under revisions.
