Though DuPont’s Rynaxypyr has been patent-protected with its debut in China 4 years ago, unceasingly illegal productions and marketing on the insecticide have been probed and sentenced since then due to the high profit after the risk. This month, two patent infringements cases with 24 million Yuan worth of the counterfeits were sentenced in Jiangsu, a strong chemical outputting province in China.

15 June 2012, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) has released the announcement No 33 of 2012 to launch expiry review investigation for anti-dumping measures (ADM) imposed on imported sulfamethoxazole (SMZ) originated from India. The Customs Import and Export tariff line of the investigated product is 29350030.

China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released a notice wednesday to its provincial branches and the China Crop Protection Industry Association(CCPIA) to start its trial of new review procedure of manufacturing permit on Chinese pesticide manufacturers. The trial will be initiated in Zhejiang, Chongqing and Jiangsu from July 1^st, 2012 to June 30^th, 2013, indicating that more discretion will be delegated to the provincial level in re-evaluating the qualification of the producers and accelerations on licensing will be fulfilled for China pesticide industry.
