In recent years, China has witnessed far too many accidents as a result of negligence in chemical management and environmental protection. The deadly blasts that erupted from a chemical warehouse in Tianjin last August killed over 100 people and turned the surroundings into wasteland, which aroused widespread public concerns over risk of toxic exposure and resulted in stricter enforcement of chemical regulations in China to better protect the environment, health and safety.

To keep stakeholders well informed of the latest regulatory developments and help them come up with updated compliance strategies, REACH24H will join hands with UMCO to host a one-day seminar Hamburg, Germany on 27 September, 2016, where attendees can learn firsthand what to look out the import and export of hazardous chemicals to and from China in the future, the current registration and transportation requirements in China as well as key points for K-REACH compliance from speeches delivered by senior officials of the National Registration Center of Chemicals (NRCC) of the State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS) and professional consultants of REACH24H Consulting Group.

National Registration Center for Chemicals of State Administration of Work Safety (NRCC of SAWS)

As a Senior Engineer, Mr. Jun Chen has long been engaged in the study on safety management of hazardous chemicals in China. He has contributed his expertise to the drafting of multiple laws, regulations and standards on hazardous chemicals and is a key member of the team responsible for the revision of the Hazardous Chemicals Inventory and Guidance on its implementation. He is mainly responsible for the review of hazardous chemicals registration and research on relevant regulations and policies.

Cassie Li, GHS Compliance Affairs Dept. Manager

Graduated from Environmental Engineering of Zhejiang University, Ms. Cassie Li has over 8 years of experience in chemical regulatory compliance service and rich experience in REACH-like regulations and GHS in EU/US/AP and has been invited as speakers in various conferences.
