K-REACH Seminar 2014: Hot Updates and Key Solutions – by REACH24H and Chemtopia

Feb. 26th, 2014

Shanghai

K-REACH, also known as the Act on Registration and Evaluation of Chemicals of Korea, is another important chemical management law that will bring world-wide influence after EU REACH. It is also the first REACH-style chemical regulation adopted in Asia. This regulation was passed on Apr 30, 2013 by the National Assembly, and will come into effect from Jan 1, 2015. After 7 meetings, the regulation’s research panel (the TF team) which consists of industry representatives, NGOs, and chemical specialists, has finally reached a basic agreement and preliminarily defined the framework of its subordinate regulations. The key conclusions have been explained in detail at the public consultation campaign held by MOE on Dec 27, 2013. The future implementation will depend on the upcoming subordinate regulation.

The trade between China and Korea has always been frequent. As recently the two countries have been devoted to promoting the bilateral free trade, the trade of chemicals and their relevant products has also been inevitably boosted. The K-REACH’s unveiling will have a considerable impact on the chemical trade to Korea from around the globe. Thus, to help relevant enterprises make timely understanding of the newest updates on this regulation, as well as to initiative thorough preparation for the compliance plan and to ensure the compliant trade,REACH24H invite member of the TF Team – Dr. Sanghee Park as our distinguished speaker for this seminar, who will bring the latest updates, key points, and practical compliance suggestion for K-REACH.
