Vietnam Drafts Technical Regulation to Restrict Persistent Organic Pollutants in Products

The proposed technical regulation specified the concentration limit of POPs in articles, products, goods and equipment.

On September 15, 2022, Vietnam released the second draft of the National Technical Regulation on thresholds for Persistent Organic Pollutants in Articles, Products, Commodities and Equipment on WTO’s platform for notification and started to seek public comments. The comment date is due on November 14, 2022.

The regulation applies to organizations and individuals engaged in import, manufacture, trading, and use of articles, products, commodities and equipment containing POPs.

The table below specifies the CAS number, uses and allowed concentration limit of the regulated POPs:
