Introducing

China's chemical industry has experienced a rapid growth in the past three decades. Until now, China's share in the global chemical market exceeded 30%, followed by a significant increase in the amount of dangerous goods transported in China. However, the industry has also witnessed serious accidents involving dangerous goods which caused huge casualties and property losses and the regulatory system still lacks uniformity across its different regions. It has thus become an urgent task to bring more consistency to regulations and for the overall the industry to improve the safety awareness of dangerous goods transportation.

To help enterprises get better understanding of regulations of dangerous goods transportation, under the guidance of Germany BKA and China MOT, GIZ will co-hold the Sino-Germany Dangerous Goods Transportation Workshop together with BMW, Covestro Polymers (China), Daimler Daimler AG, Evonik Technology & Infrastructure, UMCO, Reach24H, GBK, KINYOUNG,Sinotrans Chemical Logistics, in the capital city of China, Beijing, on February 25-26, 2019, where MOT and KBA officers and industry experts will share their experiences on dangerous goods transportation.
