What is a REACH Compliance Import Certificate?
A REACH Compliance Import Certificate allows the importer to demonstrate to the EU enforcement authorities that the chemical substances and quantities that are imported are covered by the (pre-) registrations of the OR. The certificate can also be used for verification of REACH compliance in the case of an audit by relevant national authorities. The RSCC System also facilitates REACH compliance in accordance with the following articles of the REACH regulation:
- Article (8): OR obligations and responsibilities
- Article (31): Requirements for safety data sheets
- Article (32): Responsibility to communicate information down the supply chain for substances on their own or in preparations for which a safety data sheet is not required
- Article (33): Responsibility to communicate information on substances in articles
- Article (34): Responsibility to communicate information on substances and preparations up the supply chain
- Article (36): Obligation to retain records & information for a period of 10 years after the product was last placed on the EU market
