EU Allows ORs to Apply for REACH Authorisation

Only Representatives are allowed to send REACH authorisation applications via the updated webforms

28 January 2012

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) confirmed in its newsletter on 25 January that Only Representatives could apply for REACH authorisation following the decision agreed at the European Commission.

ECHA has recently updated the webforms to direct OR on how to prepare and submit REACH authorisation applications while developing long term functionalities in REACH-IT. The relevant “Data Submission Manual Part 22 – How to Prepare and Submit an Application for Authorisation using IUCLID 5” is also being updated and will be published once the new version of IUCLID is released, which is currently expected to be during summer 2012.
