IUCLID5 or the International Uniform Chemical Information Database 5 is a software application used to facilitate the data submission requirements of REACH using a standardised format provide by the OECD Harmonised Templates. It is available to download from http://iuclid.eu/ when you register for free. The latest version (December 2010) is IUCLID version 5.2.3. You will also require Java 1.6 and the database server PostgreSQL 8.4. for successful installation.
We also recommend you install the free Plug-ins that allow IUCLICD5 to perform analysis on a draft dossier:
- CSR Plugin - Extracts data from a IUCLID 5 data set or dossier to prepare a Chemical Safety Report (CSR)
- Dissemination Plugin – Enables simulation of which dossier information will be made publicly available over the internet
- Fee Calculation Plugin - Registrants may calculate the fee associated with a successful submission of a dossier
- Technical Completeness Check (TCC) Plugin – Performs checks on the completeness of substance datasets and dossiers that will be used for registration and also PPORD notifications.
