- Identify your company status under REACH i.e. manufacturer, importer, distributor, formulator
- Create a substance, mixture and article inventory of your company's products that you place on the EU market
- Check here to find out if the substances in your inventory are exempted from the REACh Regulation.
- Do any of the substances on your inventory fall into any of these categories: CMR, PBT, vPvB, R50-53?
- Identify the correct tonnage band (during each calendar year) for each substance manufactured or imported into the EU.

- What deadline is the most appropriate for you now? (e.g. 2015, 2018)
- Consider how your downstream users use your chemicals

- Downstream Users: is there a danger that an essential chemical may be withdrawn by my upstream supplier?
- Does my supplier understand REACH and what it may mean for them and their chemical product portfolio?
- Can I substitute a relatively low risk chemical for one of very high concern?
- Are there any risks to me if my supply chain is not fully REACH compliant?
